英語で「時間の問題」の言い方と使い方
「時間の問題」は英語で「a matter of time」と言います。
日本語と同じく、「遅かれ早かれそうなるだろう」や「いずれはそうなるだろう」のニュアンスが含まれています。
よく使われるパターンは次の3つです。
・It’s only a matter of time before SV
・It’s only a matter of time.
・（主語）be only a matter of time.
It's only a matter of time before の意味
「It's only a matter of time before SV」は「～するのは時間の問題だ」や「～するのは時間の問題に過ぎない」です。
「only」の代わりに「just」や「but」、「before」の代わりに「until」が入ることもあります。
また、文法的には before以下は副詞節にあたるので、未来のことでも現在形になります。
