英語で「夢にも思っていなかった」の言い方
英語で「夢にも思っていなかった」は「would have never imagined」の形になります。
これは「今まで想像もしていなかった = 夢にも思っていなかった」という表現の仕方です。
「imagine」は「（～を）想像する」という動詞。
「（決して / 今まで）～していなかった」は完了形「would have never＋過去分詞」の形になります。
それらを組み合わせたのが「would have never imagined」です。
I would have never imagined eating this here.
→ここでこれを食べるとは夢にも思っていなかった。
「imagine」の後ろは名詞（動名詞・名詞節）が入るので、「eating」の形になっています。
would have never imagined の応用の仕方
「imagined」を「thought」や「guessed」にすることにより、「思ってもいなかった」や「考えたこともなかった」にすることもできます。
更に、完了形ではなく、「I never imagined（thought / guessed） that I would ～」という形もあります。
I never thought that I would become an author.
→自分が作家になるとは思ってなかった。
しかし、これは「（that以下）だとは想像しなかった（思わなかった）」というただの過去形です。
よって、「今までずっと」のニュアンスはありません。

「I never would have thought」と「I would have never thought」はどちらの語順も可能です。
