look on the bright side の意味
「look on the bright side」は直訳だと「明るい面を見る」です。
そのままでもニュアンスは分かりそうですが、これには、
・前向きに考える
・いいように考える
・ポジティブに考える
などの意味があります。
物事の暗い面ではなく、明るい面を見ようという、ポジティブシンキングの言葉です。
「bright」は「明るい」や「輝いている」などの意味がある形容詞です。
もし落ち込んだり悩んでいる人に、
「Don't' worry! Look on the bright side!」
と言えば、励ましの言葉にもなります。
また、後ろに「of ～」を置いて「～の」と言うこともできます。
Look on the bright side of life.
→人生の明るい面を見よう。
