read the room の意味
「read the room」は日本語の「空気を読む」に相当する表現です。
日本語だと空気ですが、英語だと部屋（会場 / 場）になります。
また、「空気の読めない発言」と言いますが、英語でもどちらかと言うと「発言している時に場の空気に気付くこと」のニュアンスが含まれています。
